While the Massachusetts Latin Golf Association (MLGA) takes a top-down approach—promoting golf within the adult community to build connections and advance the sport—the Mass Latin Golf Foundation (MLGF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, focuses on a bottom-up approach, nurturing a love for golf at a young age.

Mass Latin Golf is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to introducing children to the game of golf, providing them with access to coaching, resources, and opportunities for success.

Why golf?

Golf is more than a sport—it teaches discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and leadership, skills that extend far beyond the course and into adulthood.

However, golf remains underrepresented in many schools due to limited funding and resources.

Traditional sports like baseball, basketball, and soccer receive the most resources. While these sports are important, they often overshadow others, like golf.

This lack of exposure means many young athletes miss out on scholarships, career opportunities, and a sport they could love for life.

This is where the Mass Latin Golf Foundation makes a difference.

We are dedicated to introducing children—especially those from underserved communities—to the game of golf by integrating it into schools, after-school programs, and community initiatives.
